MacGruber Meets MacGyver

This past Saturday during SNL (and also during the Super Bowl) it finally happened, MacGruber met up with his namesake MacGyver for some serious comedy. However, it took me a moment to recognize that that was really Richard Dean Anderson. What happened to him? He looked way old and a bit overweight. I guess he's been out of the spotlight for a while, but should he look that different? He's always been super HOT and a definite mainstay on my top 5 list, but I have to admit that I was a bit upset. I just kept asking Beeps "what happened?", "I'm very upset" I told him. Wasn't he just on Stargate like 5 years ago looking smoking hot? I guess I'm in denial about my own age and inevitable mortality.

But I have to give him props for making fun of himself. It was some funny shiz. And no matter what happens to him, he'll still be my 80's TV obsession.

Anyway, here are all three of the segments. You be the judge: RDA - Hot or not?

This is not me. I swear. Although I wouldn't put it past me to steal, take hostages, or brandish dangerous weapons. And I would never sport that hideous mohawk. At least not in 2009. The 80's maybe. Just maybe.

It must be a slow news day in Forks, WA when a Twilight theft occurs. Those Twilight fans are not only obsessed (as demonstrated by moi) but apparently thieves as well. And stupid ones at that. Listen ladies, it's a badly-spray painted truck that doesn't run and was donated by some locals and the guy that owns the drive-in. Way to go Twilighters, way to score that ultimate memento from your trip to la-la land.

And what is wrong with the residents of Forks who say they don't know where to get a new cap and are too busy with all the visitors to look for one? Really? How hard is it to make some calls or do some research online? Unless they have chimps working the front desk at the visitor's center.

Or maybe they should just bid on the shiny chrome cap just listed on ebay.

Last night local celeb and uber famous painter Andrew Wyeth died in his Chadds Ford home at the age of 91. He painted "Christina's World" as well as many other super well-known works. He was the son of NC Wyeth and many of their family paintings hang on the walls of the Brandywine River Museum right around the corner. If you have never been there, I recommend a trip, it really is quite a beautiful collection of PA art, especially that of three generations of Wyeths. RIP Andrew.
